Best Ring Making Workshop in Seoul: Atelier Hosoo Jamsil (Songridan-gil)

How is everyone’s week going? Today, I finally visited the famous Songridan-gil in Jamsil! Since I went on a weekday, the streets were peaceful and relaxing, but it was still packed with aesthetic cafes and trendy restaurants. Just walking around was healing! 

To make this trip even more special, my friend and I decided to try a one-day ring-making class to create our very own friendship rings. The result? Absolute perfection! Here is my honest review of Atelier Hosoo Jamsil, a highly recommended DIY ring workshop in Seoul.

1. A Cozy & Aesthetic Wood Interior 

Atelier Hosoo Jamsil is located on the 2nd floor, right in the heart of the trendy Songridan-gil alleys. As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with the warm, cozy atmosphere created by the pine wood desks and birch chairs. The space is quite large with plenty of tables, making it great for groups. Since we visited on a weekday, we got to enjoy a private and quiet vibe while focusing on making our rings.

They also have branches in other hot spots like Hongdae, Seongsu, and Hyehwa. Making a ring then exploring the nearby cafes and restaurants makes for the perfect Seoul date course!

2. Trendy Designs & Premium Quality at Reasonable Prices ✨

I thought DIY workshop rings might look a bit generic, but the designs here are incredibly trendy and beautiful! They have a huge variety of choices, not just for couple rings, but also for friendship rings like ours.

The best part? They use Moissanite (often called a diamond alternative) instead of regular cubic zirconia! The sparkle is on another level, making it look much more luxurious. Despite the premium quality, the price for a pure silver ring ranges from 70,000 to 150,000 KRW, which includes the workshop fee. It’s super reasonable and perfect for an anniversary or birthday date!

3. Beginner-Friendly 1-Hour Class 

Worried you aren't good with your hands? Don't be! The staff here are exceptionally kind and helpful. They guide you 1-on-1 step by step, and most part of the ring was pre-shaped. So we were able to finish the whole process easily and happily within an hour. Filing and polishing the silver was actually a great stress reliever! It’s also a fantastic chance to take cute photos of each other focusing on the craft. I highly recommend it as a unique indoor activity in Seoul.

4. Review Events & Same-Day Pickup 

Here is a quick tip for your visit! If you leave a review on Google or Naver, they offer a free engraving service. Plus, if you follow Atelier Hosoo’s official Instagram, you’ll get a free polishing cloth to maintain your ring. Don't miss out on these great perks! 

We made pure silver rings and were able to pick them up on the same day, just 1~2 hours later! We left our rings at the workshop, had a delicious meal in Songridan-gil, grabbed some coffee, and when we returned, our rings were shining and ready. (Note: If you want rose gold, yellow gold, or black plating, it can take up to a week for delivery!)

Not only are the rings gorgeous, but the packaging is insanely luxurious—it literally feels like a designer brand. It’s so pretty that it would make a perfect gift for a boyfriend, girlfriend, or even as a proposal ring.
