Best All-You-Can-Eat Shabu Shabu in Bundang, Korea : Rowoon Hot Pot Buffet (Yatap)
Aloha~ 🌺
Looking for the ultimate comfort food in Korea? Let me introduce you to one of my absolute favorite spots for Korean-style hot pot: Rowoon Shabu Shabu!
Located on the 7th floor of the NC Department Store right in front of Yatap Station (Bundang, Seongnam), this place is a local favorite. Why? Because it offers an incredible All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) experience with premium beef, an endless salad bar, and the freshest seasonal ingredients at an unbeatable price.
Whether you're planning a family dinner, a date, or a massive feast with friends, here is why Rowoon Shabu Shabu needs to be on your foodie bucket list!
1. The Ultimate All-You-Can-Eat Meat & Veggie Station
The best part about Rowoon is the absolute freedom. Unlike some hot pot restaurants where you have to pay extra for every plate of meat, here, the fridges are constantly stocked with layers of fresh beef and pork. You can grab as much as you want without worrying about the bill!
Right next to the meat is a massive, incredibly fresh vegetable bar. They feature seasonal greens that change throughout the year (like the fragrant Minari water dropwort in the spring!), ensuring you always get the freshest flavors. They also have two separate veggie stations, so even when it's crowded, you never have to wait in line.
2. Customize Your Hot Pot (Broths & DIY Sauces)
When you order, you can choose your broth. I highly recommend paying just 1,000 KRW extra per person to upgrade to the "Half-and-Half Pot" (Ban-ban). We went with the savory Beef Broth and the deep Katsuo (Bonito) Broth!
Jihye's Secret Sauce Recipe! They have a huge sauce bar, but if you want the ultimate dipping sauce, try my fail-proof recipe:
Hot Chili Sauce (2 scoops)
Peanut Sauce (1 scoop)
A little bit of minced garlic, chopped jalapenos, and onions
A dash of chili oil & wasabi
Top it off with fresh cilantro!
3. Beyond Hot Pot: The Endless Buffet & DIY Spring Rolls
Rowoon is not just about boiling meat. The hot food section is absolutely packed! From sweet pumpkin salads and fried foods to sweet and sour pork (Tangsuyuk) and even Mala Xiang Guo!
They also have a fantastic DIY Vietnamese Spring Roll (Wolnam-ssam) station. Wrapping hot, broth-soaked beef and fresh veggies in rice paper is a game-changer. Also, don't forget to check out the unlimited toppings for your hot pot, like glass noodles, cheese tteok (rice cakes), and various types of tofu.
4. Save Room for Seasonal Desserts! 🍦
No matter how full you are, dessert is a must. The dessert bar rotates depending on the season, featuring fresh fruits like mangoes, passion fruit, and grapes.
But the real star? The DIY Waffle Maker and the automatic Soft Serve Ice Cream machine! My daughter loves customizing her own elaborate ice cream sundaes with all the fun toppings. It is the perfect sweet ending to a massive meal.
5. Pricing & Location Info (Highly Recommended!)
For the quality and variety of food you get, the price is an absolute steal. It is the perfect place for a hearty meal, and since it’s inside the NC Department Store, you can enjoy some shopping right after!
