A Perfect Parisian Brunch Vibe in Seoul: Conque Apgujeong (Seoul, Apgujeong)
Aloha, everyone! 🌺
Today, I went to Apgujeong to see an art exhibition and ended up visiting a brunch spot that totally gave me the illusion of being in Paris!
Since my daughter was born, I haven't been able to travel abroad as often (she gets terrible motion sickness, my little princess 😅), so I absolutely love going on these little "gastronomic world tours" right here in Seoul!
The place I visited today is called Conque (꽁크) Apgujeong Main Branch.
Doesn't the exterior look exactly like a restaurant in Paris? I swear I've seen a place exactly like this in France! Am I right?! The quiet, peaceful morning vibe of the Rodeo street perfectly matches Conque's gorgeous outdoor patio seating.
Just imagining sitting at that sunlit table eating brunch makes me so happy~ Let's go inside!
The interior design is just as stunning. It truly resembles a chic Parisian restaurant, making its atmosphere stand out even among all the trendy Apgujeong Rodeo brunch spots.
I did an "open run" (arriving right when they open), so I was able to take plenty of photos and fully enjoy the beautiful atmosphere before it got crowded. The patio is so bright and filled with sunlight. The weather wasn't too cold today, so sitting outside would have been totally fine too!
Conque transforms its charm depending on the time of day: it’s a stylish brunch spot during the day, and a romantic wine bar in the evening.
[The Menu & Ordering]
Ordering is super convenient—you just scan the QR code at your table!
From appetizers and pizzas to pastas, risottos, steaks, and truffle fries, they have a massive variety of brunch menus. They also offer a great selection of coffee and tea, perfect for sipping under the sunlight.
If you plan to visit in the evening, they have an extensive wine list too! Checking it out before you go will double your excitement.
What we ordered:
Pistachio Mortadella Pizza (35,000 KRW)
Octopus with Corn Purée (32,000 KRW)
House Sparkling Wine by the glass (17,000 KRW)
Peach Ade (9,000 KRW)
I stopped by the washroom to wash my hands before eating, and even the washroom was so pretty I had to take a picture. Seriously, am I in Paris right now? Why is every single corner of this place so pretty? How can I be this happy before I've even eaten anything?
I highly recommend Conque as a date spot! (Of course, as a mom, my first thought was "I want to bring my daughter here!" )
[The Parisian Feast Begins!]
Our drinks arrived! The sparkling wine was full of flavor, and my friend's Peach Ade was absolutely delicious. Honestly, the drinks here were better than the cafe we went to after our meal! ㅋㅋㅋ I should have tried their coffee too.
Is it just me who gets excited looking at bubbles? ㅎㅎㅎ I don't drink alcohol often, but in an atmosphere like this, one glass is just pure love~
Finally, the highly anticipated Octopus and Corn Purée came out. The colors and plating are simply gorgeous! I think the octopus was cooked confit-style, and I was so excited to taste it.
Kyaaah! Then came the mind-blowing visual of the Pistachio Mortadella Pizza!! It literally looks like the chef just dumped the ingredients on top! The dough looks incredibly delicious, and they cut it into 4 massive slices. The chef is a very generous man!
Everything about this Apgujeong brunch restaurant is just perfect. Now, let me do the taste test! Hehet~
The creamy béchamel sauce, soft mozzarella, savory mortadella ham, and the crunchy pistachios go together unbelievably well. It’s so soft, moist, and flavorful. Plus, it paired perfectly with the sparkling wine!!
The Octopus and Corn Purée was even more surprising. I don’t know how they confit it, but the octopus was incredibly tender yet perfectly chewy with a rich, smoky grilled flavor. It pairs flawlessly with the creamy, sweet corn purée. And when you get a bite with the dill and minced shallots sprinkled on top? Absolute Heaven.
💡 Jihye's Ultimate Tip: I dipped the pizza dough into the leftover corn purée... That's a pro foodie move, right? It was seriously SO good.
The dishes were surprisingly filling! We were thinking about ordering another menu item, but these two were more than enough for us.
[Final Thoughts]
Both the atmosphere and the taste at Conque Apgujeong were absolutely flawless. I wanted to share this place with you guys as quickly as possible because I definitely want to come back here again!
Hope you all have a day full of happiness! Mahalo! 🌺
