Tropical Vibes: Homemade Shrimp Avocado Pizza Recipe(Home Recipe)
Aloha! ๐บ
It was rainy today here in Hawaii, but nobody really cares enough to carry an umbrella. That's the island lifestyle I like a lot.
Bare face, bare feet... If you live in Hawaii, you will really learn about the freedom that Mother Nature gives to us. Speaking of nature, I'd like to share a super fresh, nature-inspired pizza recipe with you today!
Since I'm Korean, I usually make things a bit spicy. But today, I'll talk about a super soft, creamy ingredient. Yes, it's Avocado!!! ๐ฅ
I love its bright green color and creamy, nutty taste. I honestly like it a hundred times better than almond butter or peanut butter. The color scheme of this pizza alone is absolutely mouth-watering!
I believe everybody has their own go-to pizza dough recipe, or you can simply use a store bought dough. So I'll focus on the toppings today. (If you need my special pizza dough recipe too, please leave a comment! I'll write another post just for you.)๐ What You Need (Ingredients)
Pizza dough: 300g
Avocado: 1 fresh avocado
Shrimp: 1 cup (peeled and deveined)
Grape tomatoes: 15 pieces
Fresh basil: 2 Tbsp (chopped)
Olive oil: For brushing
Garlic powder: 2 Tbsp
Cheese: Fresh Mozzarella, Parmesan, and Cheddar
Salt & Pepper: To taste
๐ฉ๐ณ Step-by-Step Guide
1. Prep the Crust First of all, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Brush olive oil on the pizza pan. Flatten the dough and poke it with a fork to prevent it from rising too much. Brush a little more olive oil on top of the dough, then sprinkle generously with garlic powder and Parmesan cheese. Bake it for 8 minutes.
2. Chop the Fresh Ingredients While the crust is baking, cut all the other ingredients (tomatoes, avocado, basil).
3. Load the Toppings! Remove the partially baked pizza dough from the oven. Brush a little more olive oil on the crust for that golden crunch.
Add cheddar cheese, halved grape tomatoes, and shrimps.
Top it off with Mozzarella cheese, some black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
4. The Final Bake Bake for another 16-20 minutes until the cheese turns a beautiful golden brown and the shrimps are fully cooked.
5. The Fresh Finish (Crucial Step!) Once out of the oven, add the fresh avocado slices and chopped basil on top. Adding more Parmesan cheese here is always a plus!
Yay!!! So easy if you have the dough ready. (I always prepare the dough in advance and keep it in the freezer.)
Yummy!!!! Isn't it pretty? Just looking at the vibrant green color of the avocado makes me smile. :)
